It does not automate any actions on Upwork, access your account, or submit proposals on your behalf. This is equivalent to using Grammarly, Google Docs, or any other writing tool to help compose your proposal.
Can Upwork detect that I'm using ProposalAI?
ProposalAI operates as a standard Chrome extension that overlays a panel on the page. It does not inject scripts into Upwork's codebase, modify page behavior, or intercept network requests. It reads the visible DOM the same way a screen reader would.
Is AI-generated content allowed on Upwork?
Upwork allows freelancers to use AI tools as part of their workflow. The key requirement is that you, the freelancer, are the one submitting proposals and taking responsibility for the content. ProposalAI generates drafts — you review, personalize, and submit.
Do you store any Upwork data?
We store the job title, description, and metadata that you choose to analyze — solely for your reference in your dashboard. We never store Upwork credentials, session tokens, private messages, or any data you haven't explicitly analyzed.
What if Upwork changes their policies?
